Cancer patients reported that they have had to wait up to two hours before they can enter the Hospital November 20 of THE ISSSTE, in Avenida Coyoacán, despite having an appointment to have their chemotherapy treatment applied.
This delay led to a crowd and long lines outside the hospital, with no respect for healthy distance.
Patients and family members waiting include older adults and children who have stayed on the street for up to two hours.
Animal Politics sought out ISSSTE to learn about its position on what is happening at the Hospital November 20. The institution responded that the agglomeration at the door of the Hospital November 20 occurred because on Monday they started consultations of other conditions.
About waiting for two for cancer patients who already had an appointment scheduled, ISSSTE did not give an official response. He just indicated that all hospitals are saturated with cancer patients and “work as best they can.”
