A RED system bus hit two houses on Monday morning in the commune of Maipú, in the west sector of the Metropolitan Region, leaving no people injured. The event was recorded near the intersection of Isabel Riquelme streets with Engineer Eduardo Dominguez, where the driver of the vehicle when turning in a corner lost control of it, crashing first into a palm tree and then against the perimeter bars of two houses. The owner of one of the houses affected reported that it was recurrent for buses to speed around the site, targeting drivers on lines I12 and I22. According to BioBioChile, the vehicle, along with causing damage to both homes, pulled out a root tree and swept through the water and liquefied gas pipe. This resulted in staff from both services attending the site to perform the respective work and resolve the emergency. The driver of the vehicle handed over his version of those who happened to Carabineros, ensuring that he lost control of the machine because of the slippery pavement. The man must be summoned by the Local Police Court. On the other hand, firefighters confirmed that fortunately there were no people injured.
