U.S. President Donald Trump’s defense team said Thursday that Venezuela’s late president Hugo Chavez and “communist money” from Venezuela, Cuba, and China would have helped create software that altered the results of last November 3 election in which Democrat Joe Biden won.
During a press conference in which Trump’s defense team claimed to have evidence of a “pattern” of fraud during voting in several states across the country, attorney Sidney Powell said they are aware of “the massive influence of communist money across Venezuela, Cuba, and probably China, and interference” with American elections.
In that line, according to Powell, Chavez would have coordinated the creation of Dominion’s voting system and Smartmatic technology software to ensure that he would “never lose an election.”
“As soon as he saw that several states were closing the vote on election night [3 de noviembre], he knew the same thing was happening here [EE.UU.]”, the lawyer stated, referencing that this software had already been used in other elections in the U.S.
“The software itself was created with so many variables and so many backdoors that can be connected to the Internet or stuck USB sticks (…), but one of its most cost-effective features is its ability to change votes,” Powell added.
