In a statement, Mexico City Police indicated that the arrest of 30-year-old Miguel Angel N was in mayor Magdalena Contreras
“It should be noted that the lines of inquiry indicate that it was a high-end liquor theft and there was no evidence to suggest that it was the crimes of extortion, floor collection or kidnapping. They were reportedly deprived of their lives to be stripped of bottles with high commercial value,” the secretariat said of the murder of entrepreneurs.
The businessman was last seen on November 26, when he left his home in Polanco, Mayor Miguel Hidalgo, aboard a black van.
A day later one of the employer’s relatives came to the authorities to report the disappearance, and the bodies of Baptiste Jacques and one of his associates were found at approximately 02:00 on 28 November. Both were tied by hands, according to authorities.
The last location of the entrepreneur’s truck, as well as the white car his partner was travelling in, was The Mayor Tlalpan. The two vehicles were located on the same site as the bodies, the Attorney General’s Office detailed.
The Secretary of Citizen Security stated that the unit has identified a modus operandi of criminal groups engaged in assaulting and sometimes murdering businessmen under the pretext of agreed transactions.
