IMSS stated that this seeks to strengthen the medical units that serve COVID in the entities with the highest incidence of the epidemic: State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, Baja California and Mexico City.
The institute said it has registered 81,415 doctors and nurses working in coVID Response Teams, of which 9,465 (12%) they scheduled their vacation for this new year’ eve, so they seek to cover that percentage on the most critical days.
IMSS director Zoé Robledo mentioned that the health personnel he could support would come from states where the epidemiological traffic light is green: Campeche, Chiapas and Veracruz.

Maintaining the operation of the #IMSS during December 25 and January 1, is essential: Mr. Humberto Pedrero Moreno, Director of Management at #SeguroSocial.#ÚltimoJalón2020VsCOVIDhttps://t.co/T86owCkXqQ

Under the IMSS convention, health workers who can apply to the COVID Commission are that states and hospitals, particularly where occupancy is less than 50%, can send their doctors and nurses to hospitals in other states with a concentration greater than half.
The COVID Guard will apply for December 25 and January 1, where the concept of guard will be paid twice as normal.
“That means in practical terms that by working that day a worker could be credited for up to six times the daily salary, this with the aim of being able to have all the necessary guards in these two very fundamental days,” explained IMSS Director of Management Humberto Pedrero Moreno in conference.
Holidays not enjoyed COVID are so that staff attached to a hospital where 50% of bed occupancy exceeds, voluntarily deferred their holidays until March.
Whoever agrees will be awarded 10 Merit Notes, and secondly, if the holiday period is deferred, six Merit Notes would be awarded.
