Sonora.- The governor of Sonora, Claudia Pavlovich signed on Monday the “Social Pact for an electoral process free of Political Violence against Women in Sonora” in order to establish gender parity in the upcoming election elections. During the virtual meeting, the president of the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute (IEESONORA), Guadalupe Taddei Zabala, as well as leaders of civil organizations, electoral authorities and representatives of political parties, was also present.

With the signing of the pact, Taddei Zabala and Secretary of Government Miguel Pompa indicated that when a woman defends her rights, she makes way for girls and adolescents. For his part, the Secretary of Government, Miguel Pompa applauded the achievements of Governor Claudia Pavlovich because he indicated that through her exemplary persistence she has attacked fully to disqualify the violence against her person by speaking head-on about these arguments. It also externed its appreciation to legislators and the state executive that the actions taken by the governor on gender parity were realized.
