The aim was to safeguard the well-being of both users and public servants in delegations, the Chancellery explained in a statement.
The unit made email available [email protected] for emergency care for health, academic, work or family reunification reasons.
It detailed to applicants that the payment of duties made for the passport procedure is valid for five years from the completion of the passport.
It also reminded users of the importance of preventing fraud and not making payments or deposits to personal accounts, or in convenience stores to get an appointment to perform their passport procedure.
“It will be reported in a timely manner about the gradual opening of appointments for passport applications,” he said.
