translated from Spanish: Lilly Téllez’s fight against 4T on health issues

Mexico City.- As is customary, Panist Senator Lilly Téllez again criticizes the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador. This time indirectly, the legislator predicts that the covid-19 vaccination campaign, which is about to begin, will be a failure. At the same time, it shares a publication related to treatment shortages for children with cancer. Yesterday, through her social networks, the senator for Sonora retweeted a tweet from political analyst Xavier Tello in which he in turn shares Carlos Elizondo’s column of the Reform entitled “Responsible”, the premise of this text is that “the vaccination plan against the Covid-19 promises what it cannot fulfill, so by failing this, “the government will be solely responsible”.

What Lilly Téllez thinks of the federal government’s Covid-19 vaccination plan/ Source: @LillyTellez

The text of Carlos Elizondo begins by putting into perspective the vaccination plan presented at the morning conference of Palacio Nacional, the one mentioned that the first vaccinated would be people in the health sector and older adults, however, taking into account that only 250 thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available and that of these 2 have to be applied, Professor Elizondo Mayer-Serra points out that the picture does not feel very promising.
In the same sense, the other issue that will create problems for the vaccination plan to be carried out in the way intended is logistics, since the military (National Guard) has been tasked with distributing the Covid-19 vaccine, since they have never done anything similar, contrary to the task being done to IMSS or ISSSTE that they already have the staff and capabilities to be able to distribute the material. For all of the above, in the column “Responsible” Carlos Elizondo Mayer-Serra denounces that the federal government will be solely responsible for all people who die from the start of the ambitious vaccination campaign. For her part, Lilly Téllez shared the column of the artist Monica Garza for the newspaper La Razón entitled “One more day without chemo”. In this text, Monica Garza begins by citing what article 215 of the Federal Criminal Code mentions in which she states that “public servants commit abuse of authority when they delay or deny individuals the protection or service they have an obligation to grant them” and notes that it is a crime that Rosario Piedra Ibarra, the current holder of the Commission on Human Rights (CNDH) may have committed. In this regard, the Mexican artist recalled that parents of children with cancer filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) against the secretary of the CNDH for “omission” and “passivity” in relation to the desupply of cancer drugs. Garza cites what was said by the National Health Movement in a statement detailing the causes that led them to file the complaint against Piedra Ibarra detailing that 781 days have passed without the infants receiving their chemo and that about 1,600 children have lost their lives. In addition, the document submitted to the FGR highlights that 552 complaints have already been made about the dissuscance of these drugs, which have been ignored by the CNDH, showing that “the CDNH advocates for an omisa and overlapping convenience”. With these two texts shared on the same day, Lilly Téllez demonstrates that she remains firm in her position to be a faithful and clear opponent of the 4T government, its officials and its bad administrations. (Lilly Téllez blames Brunette for her unfulfilled promises)
