translated from Spanish: Old lady walks in snow to get vaccinated against the Covid-19

Washington.- A strong winter storm that covered parts of Seattle with 30 centimeters (one foot) of snow did not prevent an old woman from attending her first appointment for the Covid-19 vaccine, as she walked 4.8 kilometers one kilometer and the same distance back. “I’ve been calling for an appointment anywhere, every morning, every afternoon and, several times I was online at night,” Goldman told The Seattle Times. But it’s not the first time Finally, the woman said she received an appointment for Sunday morning, but on Friday and Saturday there was a severe winter storm in the region, covering the city’s normally rainy streets with snow.
Goldman said he put on some wool pants and a short-sleeved blouse so the nurse could easily apply the vaccine to her arm. On the blouse he wore a zipped fleece jacket, a feather coat and a raincoat. Then he put on snow boots and ventured to the snowy streets, with the help of hiking poles.
It wasn’t easy, it was quite a challenge, he told the paper. Goldman arrived at his appointment just 5 minutes late.

His daughter Ruth Goldman, who lives in Buffalo, New York State, was not surprised by his mother’s actions. Read more: Why Texas suspended natural gas supply to CFE
