Mexico City.- Despite the nonconformities of feminists and the various accusations of violence made against her, Morena ratified Felix Salgado Macedonio last Friday night as her candidate for Guerrero’s gubernatura.
“One of the great goals of the Fourth Transformation is to live in a true democracy where the people send. The people of Guerrero evaluated and made a decision. We’re obliged to respect her. In the new survey Félix Salgado Macedonio was the best positioned, so the National Elections Commission ratifies it in the candidacy for the governor of Guerrero,” Morena said in a statement.

Morena’s National Elections Commission said it understood the women’s claim, but noted that there are no elements to not grant candidacy to the licensed senator, as he is an innocent person before the law and has been selected in two polls.

“Feminism and the Fourth Transformation are Mexico’s two main movements of the 21st century (that’s why feminism is so strong within 4Q). We may have painful disa rediscovery on conjuncture issues, but we are historical allies. We both fight oppression, violence, inequality and injustice,” he says in his statement.
It should be remembered that Salgado Macedonio had already been selected, through survey, as the morenist candidate in Guerrero; the announcement was made by Mario Delgado on December 30 last year.

However, a series of protests against the senator, as well as pressure from women’s groups from the same party, caused Morena’s National Honesty and Justice Commission (CNHJ) to order a reversal of the process.
Thus, the CNHJ pushed back the Guerrense’s candidacy and ordered a new survey; however, he did not brag about it as an eligible profile, so he was able to participate again in this new exercise.
On Friday night, the candidate ratified by Morena and Instituto Electoral y de Participación Ciudadana de Guerrero celebrated his triumph on social media with his famous “hay toro”, alluding to his nickname.

Last Wednesday, the results of the survey were leaked to various media outlets, indicating that more than 65 percent of respondents said they knew Salgado Macedonio and 32 percent reported identifying it with Morena. 15 percent said they had a good opinion of the politician; 25.3 per cent, a regular opinion; and 16.9 percent, a bad opinion.
