translated from Spanish: AMLO on vaccine video with empty syringe

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador questioned the video in which a nurse is seen vaccinating an older adult in CDMX with an empty syringe and said she does not think it is a serious case.
“What you have to see is if it’s not assembled, because there are specialists in that (…) Besides, even zooming in on the video (…) came out in all the media (…) what was real is that the lady was wrong and that’s the big news, don’t you think it’s an exaggeration?” he questioned.
The president criticized the media’s coverage and assured that the mistake was corrected in the same camp.
“When they found out at the camp, they re-vaccinated him and they don’t say that anymore (…) research is being done (…) this was yesterday’s note, all day, they did ‘trending topic’,” he added.
The president said there is so much desperation from opponents that they take advantage of these issues to attack their government.
“How do you make eight-column news a matter like this? It’s because it affects us, that’s all, ” he insisted.

President @lopezobrador_ said that an investigation should be done if the case in which a volunteer nurse injected an older adult without a vaccine in #CDMX, to see if it was not a montage.

This Saturday, relatives of an older adult shared a video showing a nurse vaccinating him with an empty syringe at the IPN’s Zacatenco Unit.
The video shows that the nurse cleans the adult’s left arm and inserts the empty syringe and a couple of seconds later pulls it out.
The young woman who recorded and shared the video identified hem as the man’s niece, and said that the situation was reported with a superior at the time, the error was recognized and moments later the man was emponed.
For their part, the Ministry of Health and IMSS offered an apology and reported that the nurse responsible was removed from the vaccination cell.
They ensured that they will strengthen monitoring measures on staff participating in vaccination days.
