Alarms were again set in Racing after four new positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were confirmed on Monday. The pandemic disease is footballer Matías Rojas, as well as manager Rubén Capria, physical trainer Alejandro Richino and goalkeeper coach Fabian Ramírez.
The player and Prof Richino – who are in good health – were isolated this Sunday after having symptoms of COVID-19, so they were swabed to confirm the diagnosis. On the other hand, as indicated by the protocol, the campus of La Academia was carried out on Monday the corresponding PCR tests prior to the Copa Libertadores match to be played next Thursday against Sporting Cristal. In addition, because Capria and Ramirez encountered symptoms, they underwent a rapid antigen test that confirmed the diagnosis. In this situation, Rojas will not be able to play against the Peruvian team for the continental tournament, and will also miss next Sunday’s match against Central Córdoba for the Professional League Cup.
