translated from Spanish: Government employees will return until July 30 to offices

Federal government employees will return to face-to-face activities until July 30, the Public Service Secretariat reported.
In a statement, the SFP noted that period extension is intended to reduce the risk of COVID-19 contagion and dispersion.
The extension period covers from 3 May until 30 July.

In the authorization of remote work, units should prioritize workers with disabilities, pregnant or lactating women, and with chronic diseases considered at risk by health authorities, such as morbid obesity, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, cerebrovascular diseases, HIV infection, chronic kidney disease, pathological states requiring immunosuppression and cancer in treatment.
In addition, “alternate face-to-face working days and staggered working hours for assistance to workplaces may be established” in order to ensure the measures established by health authorities.
As well as privileging the use of technological platforms for the conduct of work and training meetings, this to minimize the transfer, contact and risk of contagion between workers.

In the cases of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Administration and Finance units, the holders of the Senior Officer may authorize or facilitate remote work to public servants, provided that the performance of institutional functions is not altered.
The SFP detailed that the draft Agreement was sent to the National Regulatory Improvement Commission and will be published in the next few days by the head of the unit, Irma Eréndira Sandoval, in the Official Journal of the Federation.
The agreement clarifies that the application of these criteria “shall not entail the authorization of any additional holiday, travel, passage or erogation”.
For officials, it states that they must comply with their working hours and “maintain full availability and perform their duties”.
The only units that are excluded from the agreement are: the health secretariats; National Defense; Marina; Citizen Security and Protection; Federal Protection Service; the National Guard; Mexican Foreign Service, as well as IMSS and ISSSTE.
