France. French Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer vetoed inclusive language because he said it “constitutes an obstacle to student learning and should not be used as an alternative to “feminize” the language,” according to EFE.
But, he believes that the use and feminization of certain terms, especially in charges, should be promoted in compliance with grammatical rules.
This type of language incorporates a female suffix into a male suffix by one point, which, according to the French minister’s circular, published on Wednesday in the Official Gazette, changes respect for the “usually expected” concordance under the teaching programmes.
He added that “it is an obstacle to the understanding of writing”, it affects reading aloud and pronunciation by not being able to make an oral transcription of such spellings.
The most harmed are children with certain disabilities or learning problems, contradictoryly to what inclusive language suggests, he noted.

“Learning and mastery of French contribute to combating stereotypes and ensure equal opportunities for all students.” Feminist groups defended this language because the one used is not neutral and implies the invisibilization of women.
