Mexico City.- During the day the news circulated that morena’s deputy, Edelmiro Santiago Santos Díaz, would present a reform to nationalize the Fund Managers for retirement (Afore) of Mexican workers and that such money would be used for the emblematic works of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Faced with the spread of the news, Mr Edelmiro Santos himself said that the disseminated letter mentioning that he proposes to nationalize the Afores is false.
“Recently it has circulated on social media and media, a trade regarding an initiative on afores that is supposed to be my authorship. I make the clarification that this document is TOTALLY FALSE. Let’s not fall for fake news or misinformation,” he clarified on a post on his Twitter account.

The coordinator of the bench of the deputies of Morena, Ignacio Mier Velazco, also assured that this news on the proposal to nationalize the Afores is false and that the document circulating on social networks and media is not true.
