Mexico.- The United States is auctioning at least 10 historical documents belonging to Hernán Cortés, which were stolen from the General Assembly of the Nation, so the Government of Mexico is looking for them to be returned. It was a group of historians who located, in September, the documents at the Swann Galleries auction house, when investigating them it was learned that it was one of the ten who, from 2017 to 2020, disappeared from the General Assembly of the Nation, so the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is already seeking help through the Washington Department of Justice.

Searching for lost documents
