translated from Spanish: Force X Mexico proposes castration and life imprisonment to femicide

“To the femicide to cut off his eggs”, is the new proposal of the Party Force X Mexico, with which he invites to vote for his candidates on June 6.
In a spot starring four women, the party urges people to join the ‘Strong Punish’ and ‘Endless Prison’ campaigns, which aim to make violence against women visible and get tougher sentences against femicide.
In the video of just 30 seconds, each of the women mentions a phrase and then joins in the same scene.

“Let us punish those who attack us physically and psychologically; Let us punish strongly those who use it to murder us; Let us punish strongly those who violently us; Let’s strongly punish those who abuse her,” the protagonists say.
After saying their lines, the four women break a stone with a mallet.

In the end, they invite to vote for Force X Mexico if they are in favor of the ‘Endless Prison’ to femicide and close the video with the phrase: “To the femicide cut off his eggs”.

This Thursday, the party’s national president, Gerardo Islas, presented the national campaign #CastiguemosConFuerza, which will be the center of its candidates.
Force X Mexico is a party that won its national record just last October. It was founded by the trade unionist and alternate senator of Morena, Pedro Miguel Haces Barba.
On its page, they are defined as a party “that does not seek political positions; but to contribute to the order, peace and tranquility of Mexico.”
This is not the first time a political party has sought harsher punishments for rapists, femicides and paedoes.

In the past, several candidates seeking some office have proposed even chemical castration penalties.
In early April, for example, the candidate for federal deputy for Morena in the Sixth District of Chihuahua, Carlos Borruel Baquera, proposed in a campaign event to impose life imprisonment and chemical castration on people who are repeat offenders in crimes of rape, femicide, human trafficking and paedopathy.
The applicant said his proposal is named Violence Without Recidivism, and that he would propose a reform of the Penal Code and a Law Initiative to achieve such punishment.
He argued that such punishment would ensure the protection of women.
However, some specialists have mentioned that such penalties are not legally viable, because it contrasts with the principles set out in the Constitution, as well as various international guidelines to which Mexico is committed.
