Mexico.- For the second day in a row, violence against candidates continued on Wednesday. José Alberto “El Goero” Alonso Gutiérrez, candidate of the Fuerza por México party in the mayor’s office of Acapulco, Guerrero, suffered a gunshot attack in the middle of the old coast.
The attack occurred when the candidate was climbing a van for a work tour. Apparently with some injuries, the aspirant was transferred to a hospital in the port where he was reported as stable.
“Our candidate José Alberto the Goero Alonso was the victim of a cowardly attack on the old coast at the height of the sports club. He was traveling in his truck with his escort. New news will be given soon. Thank you,” the Force for Mexico candidate’s Twitter account was said.
Just yesterday Wednesday, the citizen movement candidate for the mayor of Moroleon, Alma Barragán, was killed while at a political event.
