According to one of the most widespread conspiracy theories in the world, Paul McCartney is dead. He had become angry with John Lennon and had suddenly left the recording studio. He got into his car and on the way he let a girl get in the way. When she realized who the driver was, she threw herself on top of him to hug him and Paul lost control of the car. He collided with a truck and ended up beheaded. After the accident, George Martin, the Beatles’ producer, called a meeting with the other three members of the group, and together they decided that the band should go ahead. The conspiracy was underway. A replacement had to be found. Thus, a doubles competition was organized to find a new Paul McCartney. The one chosen in the casting was a certain William Campbell, who had the face and voice similar to those of the musician. But things started to get complicated. Brian Epstein, manager of the Liverpool four, regretted the deception and threatened everyone with confessing it in public. Was the future of the Beatles in danger? But a few months later he was found dead. Did they kill him? Was it a conspiracy to cover up Paul’s death? Paul did not die. Despite the conspiracy theory that has spread so far, the truth is that the evidence to refute that delirium is overwhelming.
