“The Step by Step Plan has been in our country for more than a year and, in addition to all the consequences it has had for millions of people, there are several industries that have been affected such as those related to the world of aesthetics (hairdressers, barbers and stylists) and gyms, which represent the livelihood for thousands of families throughout Chile , that’s why we have to give them facilities to function during quarantines,” the congresswoman said.
Flores emphasized that these activities help people’s quality of life and mental health. “We know that sport is very important in people’s lives, so there must be more instances of physical activity such as those offered by gyms,” he said.
“On the other hand, the aesthetic category also contributes to health at a psychological level, improving self-esteem and mood that are quite low due to the long confinements that have existed,” he added.
