The interruption of the power supply was derived from the operating output of the medium voltage circuit MYK-04015 of the Mayakoba substation (MYK), “due to vandalism, theft of land system at the exit of the substation, causing damage to the power cable that feeds users of the Municipality of Solidaridad in Playa del Carmen in the State of Quintana Roo,” the document states.

At 03:50 10,031 users were restored, which represents 92 percent of the load with a duration of 60 minutes, CFE said, however, it warned that until noon there were still 873 users affected and belong to the Guadalupana, Rea del Sol, Santa Fe and Avenida 28 de Julio subdivisions.
