The Ministry of Health reported 217 more deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total, according to government statistics, to 234,675 deaths recognized from the disease.
In addition, it confirmed 9 thousand 319 recent cases, so there are 2 million 577 thousand 140 people who have become ill from the virus, since the beginning of the epidemic.

As of this July 9, 56,926 estimated active cases (2.1%) have been registered, which started symptoms in the last 14 days.
To date, there are 12,235 suspected deaths from COVID-19, including those pending by laboratory and those that are in the process of clinical-epidemiological association.

The health authorities detailed that the occupancy of general hospitalization beds and ventilator beds are located at 22% and 19%, respectively.
As of this Friday, the government reports that 34 million 627,540 people have been vaccinated, of which 59% already have their complete schedule, and 41% a first dose.
This means that 39% of the target population has been vaccinated.
