Morelia, Michoacan.-“While Silvano Aureoles continues to want to draw attention at the national level with his struggle to overturn the decision of the citizens on June 6, Michoacan faces a severe crisis of insecurity that must be addressed urgently,” said Carlos Torres Piña, spokesman for the transition team of Governor-elect Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla.
In a press conference, he said that the ungovernability in Michoacan is serious, because during the governor’s absence there have been serious violent acts such as road closures, armed clashes, and homicides, without the governor’s pronouncement on the matter.
He added that another issue that worries the transition team is that 70 days before the end of the current state administration, there is still no dialogue with authorities to see how the delivery-reception process, which should begin on August 15, will be carried out.

“We want to ask you to focus, to address the concerns and difficulties that our entity has and to stop acting and wanting to draw attention to post-election issues,” he said.
Finally, he said that when the delivery-reception process begins, they will monitor items such as education, health, and security, because the debts owed to these sectors should be covered with the money that is raised year after year from the state budget.
