The total number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country stands at 1,629,192 of whom 5,728 are active. Recovered cases total 1,585,156.
As for deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), the death of 49 people is recorded, bringing the total number of deaths associated with COVID-19 to 36,380 in the country.
996 people are hospitalized in intensive care units, of which 777 are supported by mechanical ventilation.
In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are currently 519 critical beds available.
As for the Network of Laboratories, the results of 60,185 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 19,473,194 at the country level. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 1.48% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 2%.
