“At approximately 5:00 p.m. (on August 20), after receiving the report of an attack perpetrated against the military, personnel of the Expert Services and Crime Scene Unit (USPEC), went to a farm located in the vicinity of the town of Tarecuato, where actions were carried out in the lifting of seven lifeless bodies,” he said.
Eight firearms for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy and Air Force were secured at the site; they also confiscated cartridges, magazines and other tactical objects.

Michoacan’s Public Security Secretariat reported that they are maintaining an operation in the region and said that the confrontation was “an attack” on Sedena personnel.
Meanwhile, the state prosecutor’s office began an investigation into the incident.
