The novelty and conditions are contained in a decree of the Presidency that, according to the newspapers El País and La República, will be communicated in the coming hours to the border posts. The text signed by the president of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, allows “owners and holders of social participation or shares of legal entities and final beneficiaries of real estate” in Uruguayan territory, who can prove to be owners.

“Those who enter the country covered by this new exceptionality must present a negative PCR test to Covid-19, and on the seventh day of their stay in Uruguay accredit a new negative test. In both cases, the cost of the study is borne by the foreigner,” the text states.
