María Eugenia Campos Galván, governor of Chihuahua, wore a blue scarf with the legend “Save the two lives” during her first event as president on Thursday.
During a tour to supervise the maintenance and cleaning of catchment vessels in the Riberas del Bravo neighborhood in Ciudad Juarez, a group of women from the pro-life movement gave the handkerchief to the governor, reported El Heraldo de Chihuahua.
According to the newspaper, the women approached Campos Galván and told him of their concern about the resolution of the Supreme Court of Justice in which it declared the criminalization of abortion for women and people with the capacity to gestate.

This means that no judge can imprison anyone who decides to have an abortion, because even if they are arrested, they cannot be prosecuted.

This is not the first time that PAN member Maru Campos has worn a blue scarf and openly supports pro-life groups.
In February 2020, when she was mayor of Chihuahua, she said she would wear a light blue scarf or a pin of the same color, to demonstrate against the initiative on the termination of pregnancy that was then being discussed in the local Congress, reported El Heraldo de Chihuahua at the time.
