“The needs remain immense and that is why we are also donating another 7.5 million doses of vaccines by the first quarter of 2022; it’s 30 million vaccines in total for the countries that need it most,” Sanchez said. This donation of vaccines, which will include as many to sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb, represents the second donation from Spain for Latin America and the Caribbean, so it computes a total of 15 million for the region. 

According to the president, with these figures, Spain became the seventh country that donated the most vaccines and the third in the European Union, in absolute terms.
