Mexico has 2,980 cases of COVID; 46 million have been vaccinated

With 2,980 new reported cases of COVID, the federal Ministry of Health confirmed until sunday 3 million 681 thousand 960 infections since the beginning of the epidemic.
In the last day, 211 confirmed deaths were registered, so there are already 278,801 deaths due to the disease. In addition, there is a record of 13,350 suspicious deaths.

According to authorities, there are an estimated 54,824 active cases. At the end of this October 3, the states that present the highest rates are Tabasco, Mexico City, Colima and Yucatan.
On the other hand, Chiapas, Guerrero, Veracruz, Chihuahua and Michoacán have more active cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

In the last five weeks, the majority of cases occurred among young people aged 18 to 29, followed by the 30-39 age group and the 40-49 age group.
Nationally, general bed occupancy for COVID patients is 31%, while ventilator bed occupancy is 27%.
This Saturday, 338,206 doses were applied. In total, 102 million 643 thousand 418 have been applied since December 2020.
According to data from the technical report of Health, 64 million 323 thousand 90 people equivalent to 72% of the population over 18 years of age – have received at least one vaccine: 46 million 54 thousand 543 have a complete scheme, while 18 million 268 thousand 547 only with the first dose.
Mexico City, Queretaro and Quintana Roo have applied the most doses, while Chiapas, Puebla, Oaxaca and Campeche have supplied the fewest vaccines.
