The Best of Free Agents Looking for a Team in the League

With the 2021/2022 NBA season less than a week away, teams are kicking in during the offseason, looking to create the necessary chemistry and adapt to their style of play to pursue success. For some teams, the demand could be higher, since they have several new elements that came to their respective franchises as reinforcement signatures for the upcoming campaign. That said, there are still several interesting items left on the free agent roster, which could well give a boost to teams that decide to hire them.1- DeMarcus Cousins The center who has struggled with serious injuries in recent years, last year played for the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers, proving he can still bring in quality minutes. He averaged 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds last season split between the Clippers and Rockets, with a 42.1 percentage on three-pointers.2-Wesley Matthews After his season with the Los Angeles Lakers, he has returned as a free agent, and remains available to any team that wants to add defense and a decent 3-point shot. Last season for the Lakers he had 4.8 points, and 33.5 three-point percentage (averaging 37.9 in his career). Thomas hasn’t been able to shine again since his time in Boston. He averaged 7.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in all 3 games for pelicans in 16 minutes per night. In an exhibition game over the summer, Thomas scored 81 points, although it was a much lower level game, reaching that figure is not easy, and shows that he is fit and ready to contribute.4-Jeff Teague Another veteran point guard who still does not find a place in the NBA for the campaign that is about to start. Teague, 33, is coming off winning his first championship at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, adding last season numbers of 6.6 points, 2.8 assists, with 38.5 percent in triples.5- Aaron Baynes The Australian pivot is a very versatile big man, who can well score points in the paint, as well as from the 3-point line.
