Substance use? Here you can answer the global drug survey 2022

Starting Monday, substance users (legal and illegal) can respond to the Global Drug Survey (GDS), an independent research effort on drug and alcohol use.
In addition to generating information, the survey seeks to create educational materials on drugs for health and legal professionals, as well as for the entertainment industry and the general public.

For example, the survey revealed that the majority of people who use cannabis in Mexico do so approximately two hours before going to sleep.
“On the other hand, most people who use cocaine only do so 2-10 times a year. The results also reveal that almost no one asks for medical help when consuming magic mushrooms, “says the exercise made in 2020.
About 1,200 people in Mexico respond to it each year and it can reveal the trend of the type of substances they consume and their experience using them.

In 2020, 93.7% of responding consumers had consumed alcohol; 80.6% cannabis with THC; 66.8 % tobacco; 43.3% had used LSD and 41.9% had used cannabis with the predominant CBD cannabinoid.

According to the RIA Institute, which promotes the survey in Mexico, the goal is to make drug use safer, regardless of the legal status of the substance, “by sharing information with individuals, communities, health and political organizations.”
The survey #GDS2022 is conducted annually in 10 languages, and is hosted by partners in more than 20 countries, and shares both the positive and negative aspects of drug use.
