Burning ceremony of “Daruma” in the Japan Garden

The traditional burning ceremony of Daruma, will be held this coming weekend December 18 and 19, in the mythical Japanese Garden. Those who painted the eye to their daruma because they fulfilled their goal, will be welcome in the place to burn it and set a new goal. And those who have not yet done so, it is an ideal time to do so and attend the ceremony to start a year full of goals and challenges to meet.

Under the motto “If you fall 7 times, you get up 8”, the Japan Garden invites everyone to participate in a legendary tradition that holds that when you have a goal or a goal to fulfill, you should paint your left eye and then place it in a visible place so that the daruma reminds us that you are working on its fulfillment. Once the objective is met, the right eye is painted as a symbol of all the effort, perseverance and tenacity, thus completing the Daruma that will then be burned to transmute everything negative and attract everything positive. 
The Japanese Garden is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. and complies with safety and hygiene protocols. On this special weekend, two burning ceremonies will be held at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The ticket is purchased at the Box Office on the same day of the visit or through the official website and consists of a value of $ 290 pesos.
