The Santiago Metro denied a photo shared by the coordinator and campaign spokeswoman of presidential candidate José Antonio Kast (Christian Social Front), Magdalena Moncada, on her Twitter account. It shows the entrance of a completely destroyed station, linking the excesses to the closing of the campaign of the flag bearer of Apruebo Dignidad, Gabriel Boric, held yesterday in the Almagro Park, located in Santiago.
In her publication, the law graduate compared the aforementioned photo with an image of flowers left by adherents of Kast – during the night of Thursday – in a half of Plaza Baquedano. “On one side the Chile we want, on the other, the Chile that stays with Boric. This is how the subway that was used for his campaign closing dawned,” he said.
While the photo shared by Moncada is about the Parque Almagro metro station, those destructions occurred in 2019, during the social outbreak.
“Yesterday there was no damage to the Parque Almagro station on Line 3. There are all the escalators operating, and also the rest of the station equipment (…) “Yesterday there were no incidents,” Metro de Santiago told T13.
