Mexico presents 3 extradition orders to Israel against Andrés Roemer

The government of Mexico sent Israel the first three requests for extradition, under the principle of international reciprocity, of the former diplomat, writer and academic Andrés Roemer, accused of sexual abuse and rape. 
The head of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City, Ernestina Godoy, reported Monday that two more petitions are also in process.

“We hope that, as soon as possible, we will be able to report on his transfer to Mexico. As you will recall, this person is accused of sexual abuse and rape, and as is public knowledge he is abroad,” he said in a message to the media.  
Godoy thanked the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their collaboration in the case. 
Roemer has four arrest warrants in Mexico City. In addition, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) froze the writer’s accounts.

Last May, Interpol issued a red card to locate Roemer, who according to the latest available information, the writer is located in the city of Tel Aviv, in Israel, a country with which Mexico does not have an extradition treaty.
In the last interview that was made to him, while walking through the streets of Tel Aviv, Andrés Roemer assured that he had not committed any crime, and that on the contrary, there were 400 women who supported and supported him.
