The DAIA repudiated vidal’s former minister who called for a “Gestapo” for guilds

The words of Marcelo Villegas, former Minister of Labor of María Eugenia Vidal in the province of Buenos Aires during his government of the period 2015-2019 provoked the repudiation of the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA). The former official of the Buenos Aires administration said in a meeting with businessmen that “if I could have – and I will deny this anywhere – if I could have a Gestapo, a force of onslaught to end all the guilds, I would do it.”

The repudiable way in which Villegas expressed himself occurred during a meeting at the Banco Provincia de La Plata in which the mayor of La Plata, Julio Garro, also participated; the former provincial infrastructure minister, Roberto Gigante; the former Undersecretary of Justice, Adrián Grassi; provincial senator Juan Pablo Allan, among others. For this reason, the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) in charge of Cristina Caamaño will file a complaint against Villegas, who is accused of setting up a judicial table to persecute unions and workers.
