The journalist will run for office, as will Bárbara Sepúlveda (Communist Party), Ramon Reyes (Socialist Collective), Cristina Dorador (MSC) and Patricia Politzer (Non-Neutral Independents). As for the candidates of native peoples, there are Eric Chinga and Natividad Llanquileo. The reactions were not long in coming. For the conventional, Christian Viera, Sánchez “is a very respected person transversally” and pointed out that “one of the great deficits we have had so far is to try to socialize and correctly communicate to the citizens the achievements and merits of the Convention.” Likewise, her counterpart Constanza Schönhaut supported the journalist, stating that “leaders with the capacity and experience of political articulation and of communicating clearly to the citizens about the progress of the process are required,” said Cooperativa.
