Pulso Ciudadano: 50.1% thought Boric’s cabinet was very good/good

Activa released the Pulso Ciudadano survey, a biweekly tracking that measures the perception of the country’s economic situation, evaluates the performance of the President and the Government, evaluates expectations about President-Elect Gabriel Boric and evaluates the performance of the Constitutional Convention, among other issues.
According to the survey, the main problems of the country are: Crime 41.0%, Health 25.6%, Immigration 25.0% and Drug Trafficking 21.4%.
Meanwhile, 37.1% of the population indicates that, currently, with the total income that the household has, it is not enough to cover all the monthly expenses of the household. 46.2% indicate that it reaches them fairly and 13.4% indicate that with the income they have it allows them to save in the month.

While 18.1% of the population, over 18 years of age, is considered unemployed, without work. 52.3% declare that they are working (39.3% working in person at their workplace and 13.0% working remotely).
In reference to the concern and information about COVID-19, 69.5% declare to be very worried or worried about the pandemic. 19.5% believe that Chile is improving with the control of the pandemic.
In addition, 30.5% are considered at high risk of contracting Covid-19. 44.4% are considered medium risk and 25.1% are at low risk of contracting Covid-19.
Also 38.7% disagree with the amnesty law for prisoners of the social outbreak.
39.9% of the population strongly disagrees/disagrees with not renewing the constitutional state of emergency in the southern macrozone.
47.8% prefer a 4-year term of government without the possibility of re-election.
On another issue, 43.1% of the population has the expectation that the future government of Gabriel Boric will be very good / good.

For its part, the approval of President Sebastián Piñera does not register significant variation, in relation to the December 2021 measurement, and goes from 21.8% to 19.9% in the month of January 2022, while the disapproval is 64.7%.
Meanwhile, the approval of the Cabinet is 15.5%, — 2.4 pts. compared to December 2021 (17.9%), while disapproval is 68.9%.
With a sample of 1,280 interviews (sampling error of +/- 2.8%), this measurement was carried out between January 25 and 28, 2022, through a nationally representative Online Panel.
