Enlarged Bureau of the Convention agrees to reduce debate time on voting days

The enlarged bureau of the Constitutional Convention agreed to reduce the time of debate in the days of voting on norms, both in general and in particular. In the former, the limit will be five hours (so far they lasted eight hours), while in the latter, the discussion will last three hours (so far there were also eight).
The Convention bureau made the decision on Sunday, February 20, when they held an extraordinary meeting. In the instance, President María Elisa Quinteros, Vice President Gaspar Domínguez, together with the deputy vice presidents, unanimously agreed to introduce changes to office No. 504 of February 11, on the Protocol of Deliberation and Voting in the Plenary.

Voting in general 
In addition to limiting the debate of the vote in general to five hours, the table of the constituent body decided to reduce the synthesis of coordination, on the reports of the respective commissions, from 15 to 10 minutes.
In addition, on the separate voting of specific aspects of each proposal, on voting days in general, they add the expression “must be requested by at least 8 conventional”.
Voting in particular 
Regarding the individual vote, the bureau also decided to reduce the individual speaking time from three to two minutes.
They also indicate that both the renewed indications and the requests for separate voting (the latter added in the modifications agreed by the bureau) must be sent to a specific Convention email for this purpose.
