Zelensky accused Russia of bombing a children’s hospital in Mariupol

The war in Ukraine is going through its 13th day of invasion by Russian forces and in certain regions the information arrives in a limited or modified way, from the constant attacks and resistance that generate strong explosions, deaths and even destroyed hospitals. In this case, Ukrainian President Volomidir Zelensky posted a message on his social media from an attack on a children’s hospital in Mariupol. “Direct attack by Russian troops on the maternity hospital. People, children are under the rubble. Atrocity!” he said. After his speeches, the president again directed his anger at NATO for refusing to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine. “How much longer will the world be complicit in ignoring terror? Close the sky right now! Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity.”

“The building of the medical facility where the children were recently treated is completely destroyed. The information about the victims is being clarified,” he confirmed later before giving way to the word of one of the referents of the Donestk region, one of the most conflictive along with Luhansk.Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional administration, explained that “it is a maternity hospital in the center of the city, a children’s room and an internal medicine department.” “All this was destroyed during the Russian airstrike on Mariupol. Right now,” he said. The news reached the ears of the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus, who expressed himself and assured that this type of attacks “deprive entire communities of health care” and called on Russia to “allow unhindered access to this assistance for those who need it.”
