Registration opened for social projects led by women

Today opens the call for the application of projects to the 14th edition of the Avon Foundation Award 2022. Each year, the AVON Foundation Award recognizes and financially supports 5 social projects led by women that improve the quality of life of other women and communities, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the United Nations. Applications can be made until April 15 at this link. Each winning project is selected by an expert jury and will receive institutional support, training and funding of $400,000. “We know that there are women in all parts of our country who carry out solidarity initiatives, weave networks, and bring their hand to others to reduce inequalities and achieve transformative projects together. We want to know and recognize them to continue promoting change towards a society with more opportunities for all,” said Ana Inés Alvarez, Executive Director of The Avon Foundation.
Requirements to apply. Each applicant must upload the data of their social or solidarity initiative on the web (objectives, actions, beneficiary public, budget). It should have the support of a civil society organization, cooperative, school and / or vocational training centers of public or private management in Argentina, and be led by a woman or feminized identity, who will make the application of the project. The applicant for the Prize must be over 18 years of age, resident in the Argentine Republic. Since 2007, AVON Foundation has rewarded the solidarity and community work of women throughout the country. In the past 13 editions, 45 women were awarded and more than 1,500 postulated projects had countless opportunities through networking. Florencia Fernández Prato, 2021 winner of the Avon Foundation Award, with her project “Cuidá la Bocha”, comments: “The Avon Foundation Award meant a growth in our initiative, achieving an impact to realize the project on a new scale both economically and in the generation of strategic alliances”. The AVON Foundation Award has the support of the United Nations Argentina and the postulated projects will be framed in the Sustainable Development Goals, promoted by the UN in its 2030 Agenda. “From UN Argentina we are pleased to support this initiative, since we consider that the Avon Foundation Award allows us to highlight the efforts and projects of many women who daily do their part to achieve the central objective of the 2030 Agenda of leaving no one behind,” shared Tamar Hahn, Director of the United Nations Information Center for Argentina and Uruguay. For more information, the Prize Terms and Conditions are available at: www.fundacionavon.org.ar/premio.
