Russia attacked a military base in Lviv: at least 35 killed and 134 wounded

Russian forces launched multiple airstrikes on a military training center in Lviv, western Ukraine, and according to the region’s governor, Maxim Kozitsky, at least 35 people were killed and 134 injured. The United States and NATO reportedly regularly sent instructors to the attacked training center, also known as the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security, to train Ukrainian military personnel. Kozitsky said Russian troops launched more than 30 cruise missiles at the Yavoriv base, located about 30 kilometers northwest of the city of Lviv and 35 kilometers from the border with Poland. In addition, because of its short distance from Poland, the area was also established as a transit hub for those leaving Ukraine, while several foreign embassies moved there.
