Argentina will be the destination of the first official trip that the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, will make, where he will meet with the trans-Andean president, Alberto Fernández in order to strengthen diplomatic relations and economic agreements.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola, the visit will take place on the fifth of April, framed in a new commemoration of the “Embrace of Maipú”, which occurred on the same date but in 1818.
It should be noted that Fernández was one of the foreign heads of state who was present at the change of command ceremony on March 11. In addition, he held a bilateral meeting with President Boric after the event.
President Gabriel Boric said that one of the main reasons for the trip is not only for economic matters, but also for cultural reasons.
“We want to make this not only a meeting that is related to money in the sense of commercial exchange, but also with culture, which is something we share with Argentina and where we have a lot to learn from each other,” he said.
“I have asked him not only to Buenos Aires, but to visit a province in the interior,” he concluded.
