The life of the “Sex Pistols” comes in the form of a miniseries to Star+

The miniseries “Pistols” based on the novel “Lonely Boy: Tales From a Sex Pistols”, by Steve Jones, legendary guitarist of the band “Sex Pistols”, arrives from the hand of Star + this 2022. “Pistol” was created and written by Craig Pearce and will be directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle. The series, produced by FX Productions, will feature six episodes that will narrate the evolution of Punk-Rock and the tumultuous life of the band in their short musical career. It will also focus on the life of Steve Jones, who guides audiences through a kaleidoscopic tale of three of the most epic, chaotic and arduous years in music history. Based on Jones’ memoir, this series tells the story of a band of noisy, “futureless” working-class boys who shook the boring and corrupt establishment to its foundations, threatened to bring down the government, and changed music and culture forever.

“Pistol” stars Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Jacob Slater as Paul Cook, Anson Boon as John Lydon, Christian Lees as Glen Matlock, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious, Sydney Chandler as Chrissie Hynde, Talulah Riley as Vivienne Westwood, Maisie Williams as punk icon Jordan, Emma Appleton as Nancy Spungen and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Malcolm McLaren.
