Authorities arrest 8 men for the multiple murder of Tultepec

Eight men were arrested for their possible connection to the murder of a family committed in Tultepec, State of Mexico, on April 10. In those events, eight people were killed, of whom four were minors.
The arrests were made by elements of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), with the support of municipal police from several localities. In a statement released on Saturday, the FGJEM indicated that the arrests were made after following a line of investigation that points to the multihomicide being linked to drug trafficking actions.
One of the detainees was identified as Ricky Angel “N”. According to the FGJEM, he is a local criminal leader, head of a group known as ‘Los Rikis’, which is attributed homicides, drug sales and robberies with violence.

The authorities believe that he was the one who gave the order to attack in Tultepec and to kill one of the victims.

Ricky Angel “N” and the other men were arrested in the municipality of Villa del Carbón, also in the State of Mexico. According to the FGJEM, this group committed crimes in the municipalities of Tultepec, Tultitlán, Melchor Ocampo and Cuautitlán.

The other detainees were identified as Víctor Manuel “N”, Juan Jesús or Juan José “N”, José Luis “N”, Jorge Antonio “N” and Neri Dayami “N”. Two others were minors who were found with possible drug possession.
Days ago, on April 12, the FGJEM arrested Jonathan Iván “N”, the ‘Güero Simpson’, considered one of the main operators of the criminal group.
All will be placed at the disposal of a judge to determine their legal status.
The events in Tultepec are in addition to the cases of multiple murders that occurred this year in points such as Atlixco, Puebla; Zinapécuaro, Michoacán, and municipalities of Zacatecas.
