Exit plebiscite: find out here what can happen to you if you are not going to vote

The Plenary of the Constitutional Convention defined that on Sunday, September 4, the vote will be held for the exit plebiscite, where citizens have to choose the options Approve or Reject on the draft of the new Magna Carta.
This election will have two novelties, the first is that it is mandatory for anyone aged 18 or over, and the Government will seek to approve in Congress the bill that brings the polling places closer to the voting addresses to benefit people in their transfers.

Sanctions for those who do not vote
As voting is mandatory, people who do not attend their polling places and have not previously presented an excuse must pay a fine that can exceed 3 UTM ($167 thousand approximately).

Change of voting address
Until May 1 at 23:59 hours you can change the electoral address through the website of the Servel.
To make the different changes, you must access the aforementioned website and log in with your RUT and Unique Key.
If you do not have access to the internet, you can carry out the procedure in person in the following places:

Regional Directorates of Servel.
Offices of Chile Atenende.
Consulates of Chile in the world.
Offices of the Civil Registry when renewing the identity card or passport.
