A new edition of the Festival La Mujer y el Cine arrives

The Festival La Mujer y el Cine 2022, which will be held between May 5 and 8, will be held in person at the Malba Cine and the Cultural San Martín and also in the online modality, through the Vivamos Cultura platform freely and free of charge. The new edition of the festival, which will have “Daughters of comedy”, by Victoria Carreras, as the opening film, will have 14 films in the National Panorama section, among which “Esquirlas” by Natalia Garayalde (winner of the award for best direction at the Mar del Plata Festival) and “Camila will come out tonight” by Inés Barrionuevo, which had an extensive tour of international festivals.
Meanwhile, the International Panorama, composed of nine unpublished titles in Argentina, will present the latest works of the Spanish Isabel Coixet (“Nieva en Benidorm”), by Isabel Coixet and the Mexican Astrid Rondero (“The darkest days of us”). In addition, this edition of the Festival La Mujer y el Cine will have a Work in progress in each section, short films, talks and activities. This year the festival programmed the talks “The difficulty of transferring the script to the shooting”, with Anahí Berneri, Sabrina Farji, María Victoria Menis, Lorena Muñoz, María Laura Gargonelo and Natalia Smirnoff; “Direction of Actors”, with the Mexican Eugenia Levin.
