“Together for Guada”: he is seven years old and his family managed to raise funds to continue his treatment in Spain

María Guadalupe de la Cruz is 7 years old and is battling a high-risk neuroblastoma cancer that was diagnosed. The girl was being treated in a hospital in her native province of La Pampa, although given the complexity of her health condition she must continue her treatment in Spain.So much so that she was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, in Barcelona, where she could be treated by Dr. Mora, a specialist in the subject after many years of research, to be treated with the drug Naxitamab; according to the information that her family has been sharing through an Instagram page aimed at spreading the case of the little girl.

To cover the costs, the family needed to raise $ 40,000,000 so they began the campaign “Together for Guada”, where during the last hours the Government of the province of La Pampa decided to cover the missing part so that the little girl can travel to Europe.

“As the family of María Guadalupe de la Cruz we want to inform the whole society that on the day of the date, we were informed from the Government of the Province of La Pampa, that it will take care of the costs that are missing for the treatment of Guada,” they detailed in a statement. From different parts of the Province and the Country, activities are being carried out to raise funds for this treatment in Barcelona. Given this, we inform that we will only continue with the events organized where tickets have already been sold so that people can attend and with whom we have that commitment,” they said. In this sense, the family reported that “if a surplus arises in the daily expenses during the stay in Barcelona”, the intention is “to collaborate with children in a similar situation as Guada”.

The little girl took “very well the chemo from Monday to Friday of this week”, without pain or fever, as reported to Filo.News close to the family. In addition, from the San Juan de Dios Hospital, they saw the latest medical studies and confirmed that he is able to travel to receive treatment there. “They expect her as soon as possible,” they said, so she should travel next week.
