The Government of the City of Buenos Aires distinguished Robert De Niro as “Guest of Honor” in recognition of his vast career in cinema. “I am proud to have had him in Buenos Aires filming with great Argentine colleagues,” said the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, in a post on Twitter that he accompanied with a photo with the actor.

The two-time Oscar winner arrived in Argentina last Saturday to participate in the filming of Nada, a series starring Luis Brandoni -friend of the protagonist of Taxi Driver- and directed by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat that can be seen on the Star+ platform in 2023. The fiction tells the story of Manuel (Luis Brandoni), a culinary critic who, suddenly, is immersed in an economic and social crisis. In the midst of this extreme situation, Vincent (De Niro), a renowned foreign writer and friend of Manuel, arrives in Buenos Aires.After completing his last day of filming, De Niro returned to New York.
