La Jumapam reopens the pavement of Leyva Avenue, Mazatlan

Sinaloa.- In Mazatlan they reopened the pavement of Gabriel Leyva Avenue, a work that was inaugurated on October 30, 2021. Since then, it has been opened in three different sections due to defects in the pipes and hidden defects.  Yesterday, the works collapsed the road flow in the southern area of the city and also affected the supply of water service during the early hours of the morning in the neighborhoods Bahías, Klein, Casas Económicas and 12 de Mayo.Background On October 30, 2021, the then governor, Quirino Ordaz, and Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres inaugurated the so-called great work to improve the image of the southern entrance to the city. It had a cost of 310 million pesos. In this remodeling, the Jumapam replaced 12 thousand linear meters. On November 2, the pipe burst in a stretch almost in front of Bonfil Park. On November 6, an oil spill was reported on the Juárez bridge, within the construction area.
