Swimmer dies of heart attack in the Olympic Pool in CDMX

A man, approximately 60 years old, who was taking swimming lessons at the Olympic Pool, in the Benito Juarez mayor’s office, died this afternoon due to a heart attack, authorities confirmed.

According to the Mayor’s Office, the man was taking the class, but moments later he began to feel bad.

Reason why he approached the shore, left the pool and, later, suffered a heart attack, explained the Mayor’s Office.

He said paramedics attended to him immediately, who gave him first aid for a long time. After paramedics made several attempts to revive the user, they found that he had lost his life, he said.

He explained that police were present at the place, in addition to that by protocol, they closed the property to the public.

According to the report, the officers were called by a woman who pointed to a man outside a luxury accessories store and apparently handling what at first glance looked like a handgun. The uniformed men approached the man and requested a security check, after which they found a short firearm, two magazines with 14 useful cartridges and a small backpack, black, as well as an official credential and a document that, apparently, accredits the legal carrying. Faced with this fact, the 36-year-old man, who said he was originally from Culiacán, Sinaloa and resided in Mexico City, was transferred, along with the secured weapon, before the agent of the Public Ministry in the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
